The global online retailer has announced its commitment to bring products even faster to Prime users.
Currently, Amazon Prime users can enjoy free two-day delivery on a range of products online.
In an effort to drive Prime subscriptions, however, the multinational corporation has pledged to go one step further.
Amazon’s Chief Financial Officer, Brian Olsavsky, announced the company’s $800 million investment into the future service.
“We’re currently working on evolving our Prime free two-day shipping program to be a free one-day shipping program”
For a select number of Prime users, Amazon already offers one-day and even a 2-hour delivery service through its ‘Amazon Now’ package.
The latest investment pledge, however, would be a huge commitment to roll this type of instant service to all Prime users.
